COMAR LAUNCHES A FLEXIBLE, CUSTOMER CONTROLLED APPROACH TO DESIGNING AND PRODUCING CUSTOM PACKAGING SOLUTIONS

The Comar [ASR] program is a highly flexible service that allows a client to engage Comar services at any point in the design, testing, or manufacturing process, depending on where the client is in the project.

Comar wants to be “A Solution Resource” [ASR] to clients who need help with custom design, testing, and production of packaging products. Through the Comar [ASR] program, the client controls all costs and the schedule or speed through each step of the process. Comar offers consultation at no charge and an opportunity for a credit on all services leading up to production. At production time, the client is free to choose Comar to produce the final product.

Comar (ASR) is an ideal service for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies who prefer outsourcing to meet their custom packaging needs. Comar (ASR) offers a highly refined five step system that transitions a new concept into a product in the marketplace.

During each of the five steps, the client controls the decision to move forward and the pace. In the early steps, a comprehensive needs assessment is performed followed by the production of 2D engineering drawings, 3D renderings, SLA models, unit and production tooling cost estimates ultimately to +/- 10%. In the later stages, functionality and material selection testing is performed utilizing a battery of internal and external testing. When approaching the commercialization stage, the client may request a proposal for manufacturing their new packaging solution. Then the client may direct Comar to build production tooling and if desired, request assistance with secondary operations such as: (IQ-OQPQ); sterilization validation; and stability confirmation. The Comar [ASR] program includes built-in credit for customers who elect to have Comar manufacture the product. Comar has a “case study” that illustrates the process.
