1949 Comar Facility Comar is founded as the TST Glass Company specializing in converting glass tubing for the Health Care Industry.
1961 Amber Vial Comar begins manufacturing vials, from concept to finished product. Custom tubular vials and pipettes are designed, engineered, and built with our own equipment.
1981 Plastic Packaging Comar starts plastic operations. Today we are a leading producer of precision-made, custom-molded components. With a full range of state-of-the-art production processes, including injection molding and injection blow-molding, Comar satisfies customer needs with a variety of products that meet rigid customer specifications.
1982 Dropper Assembly A dropper assembly design expands the Comar product line with disposable pipettes, adding one more key element in providing a complete packaging solution.
1985 Glass Vials With the demand for better product stability in glass vials, we develop our patented Neutraplex® glass tubular vial.
1988 Plastic Closure Comar acquires Dougherty Brothers 130,000 sq. foot plastic molding facility in Buena, NJ
1994 ISO ISO Certified Supplier
1996 Technical Operations Comar opens the Strategic Technology Center. Combining computer-aided design technology and a team of highly skilled packaging experts, we add value to our customer relationships by enhancing existing products and developing totally new concepts. We file an average of 5-10 patents per year.
2000 Mold Design Comar expands its mold design and build capability into a new state-of-the-art facility, positioning the company to meet the demanding requirements of our pharmaceutical customers.
2003 Oral Dispenser Comar launches a brand new product line to meet the continuing needs of the oral delivery market. The Comar Oral Dispenser has a unique patented wiper design that eliminates the need for a rubber grommet, reducing the risk of choking and product contamination.
2007 Plastics Comar Focuses on Plastics
Comar sells its glass division to Gerresheimer’s Kimble Glass, Inc. operation. Comar retains its glass pipette manufacturing capabilities to support its position as the industry leader in the sale of glass and plastic dropper assemblies.
