APL, a Comar Company, wins 1^st place at the Climate Action Awards hosted by Wicklow County Council in their annual Tidy Towns, Estates and Sustainable Development Awards.

Wicklow County Council celebrated the tireless efforts of local communities in combating climate change at its annual Tidy Towns, Estates, and Sustainable Development Awards, held at Clermont House in Rathnew on Monday, March 4th. The event, which has become a highlight on the county’s calendar, showcased the dedication and commitment of individuals and groups towards fostering cleaner, greener, and more sustainable communities. Cllr Aoife Flynn Kennedy, Cathaoirleach of Wicklow County Council, congratulated all the volunteers for their invaluable contributions to their communities saying: “The gold medals achieved by Arklow, Wicklow and Greystones, together with Bray taking a silver medal and Blessington achieving a bronze medal sums to the highest number of medals ever awarded for towns in the county in one year.” APL managed to take home 1st place which was a huge achievement.

Against the backdrop of growing environmental challenges, Wicklow County Council has been at the forefront of promoting sustainable development and environmental stewardship. The Tidy Towns, Estates, and Sustainable Development Awards serve as a platform to recognize and honour the remarkable achievements of communities across the county in driving positive change and making a tangible difference to the local environment.
